EF#36: Fertility Empowerment, Visualisation and Journaling

molly_nichols_headshot

My guest interview today is with Molly Nichols, a renowned fertility coach, healer, queen of guided visualisations and business mentor. Molly struggled to get pregnant for 7 years. In this interview she explains how a chance encounter changed her mindset, after which she became pregnant both through IVF and naturally, and is now mother to 4 beautiful, healthy children. She decided she needed to share her fertility work with the world and rightly so!

I specifically wanted to talk to Molly about how she uses visualisations and journaling to connect with our inner selves, to help nurture ourselves, find out what blocks or worries we might have, as these can be more powerful than any physical imbalance we may have.

I LOVED this interview, I always find speaking or listening to Molly is empowering and enlightening! Molly is business partners with Nicole Jardim, with whom I did the Fix Your Period Apprenticeship, which has recently become the Women’s Hormone Health Certification Program. Molly has a wonderful empowering personality that is contagious and she really helps to explain why what we are feeling is just so so important.

Importance of our thoughts

Our feelings and thoughts are so powerful, and is something I have covered with a couple of other interviews in Episode #11 and Episode #7, but I wanted to revisit from a slightly different angle.

It is so easy to get caught up in the changes that we need to make to our nutrition, what areas need support through supplementation, detoxing our life, increases / decreases in exercise, improve our sleep, reduce our stress, but rarely do we stop to take stock of how we are feeling, as it is easier to just do. I know I am like this – I am a “doer” as I find it helps to keep a lid on my emotions, but in actual fact, we should be acknowledging those emotions through what is quite possibly one of the hardest journeys of your life. We should delve deep and see how we are feeling and be ok with those feelings and not berate ourselves for them. Molly explains this in a far more eloquent way than I can!

Episode quotes:

Here are a couple of great quotes:

“What is the conversation you have with yourself”

“The more you focus on the thing you want to happen the harder it feels to get to see it”

“We have to slow down, pause and look within, and from a loving curious conscious place what do I believe?”

The topics discussed in this episode:

  • Molly’s fertility journey
  • Perfectionism
  • Worthiness of getting pregnant
  • Visualisations to reduce pain, improve healing and get pregnant
  • Doing versus being
  • Is positivity and manifestations really that helpful?
  • Mind-body connection
  • Conceiving as an older woman
  • Multidimensional healing (nutritional, mental, emotional and spiritual)
  • Importance of mental and emotional healing and our resistance to this
  • Journaling and fertility
  • Empathy and safety

A great mantra that Molly finishes with is:

“It’s safe to be seen, it’s safe to be heard, it’s safe to be me”
